A website code holds the link, not a redirect through a server, so there is no scan counter and nothing that can expire or be switched off later. The code is drawn in your browser by the qrcode JavaScript library and nothing you type is uploaded; the Share button copies a link that carries only the code type, never a Wi-Fi password or someone's contact details. You set the dot and background colours, the error-correction level (Low, Medium, Quartile or High) and a quiet margin of 0 to 6 modules. A centre logo is optional, and adding one raises error correction to High automatically. Download a PNG about 640 pixels square for screens and documents, or an SVG with no fixed size for print.

How to use qr code generator
- Choose a type under “What should the code do?”Press Website, Text, Wi-Fi, Contact, Email, Phone or SMS. The line below the buttons says what a phone will offer when it scans that type.
- Fill in the fields and check “Encoded content”For Wi-Fi, enter the Network name (SSID) and Password and set Security; for Contact, add the name, Company, Job title, Phone, Email and Website. The Encoded content box shows exactly what the code will contain.
- Adjust “Appearance”Set the Dot colour and Background, choose an Error correction level, and move the Quiet margin slider. Keep strong contrast: scanners read dark dots on a light background most reliably.
- Add a “Centre logo” if you want onePress Add and choose an image file. If error correction was Low or Medium, it is raised to High automatically so the code still scans.
- Press “Download PNG” or “SVG”The files save as qr-code.png or qr-code.svg. Scan-test the code with a phone before you print it.
FAQ
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They are static codes: the link, Wi-Fi details or contact card are written into the pattern itself, with no redirect through a server. There is nothing to renew and no scan tracking. A website code keeps working for as long as the page it points to exists, but the content cannot be changed after the code is printed.
Is anything I type uploaded or stored?
Nothing is uploaded; the code is generated on your device. What you type is saved in this browser's local storage so it is still there next time, and “start fresh” clears it. A centre logo is not saved, and the Share link carries only the code type, so a Wi-Fi password or a contact card never travels in a URL.
Should I download PNG or SVG, and what size are they?
The PNG is about 640 pixels square, which suits screens, slides and documents. The SVG has no fixed pixel size, so it stays sharp at any print size, from a business card to a poster. A centre logo goes into both files, in the same place and at the same size.
Which error correction level should I choose?
Medium, the default, recovers about 15% damage and suits most uses. Low gives the smallest, least dense code; Quartile (about 25%) is for print on rough surfaces; High (about 30%) is needed behind a logo. Higher levels store the same content in a denser pattern, so at a small print size stay at Medium unless you need the extra recovery.
How does a Wi-Fi QR code work?
The tool writes the standard WIFI: string with the security type (WPA, WEP or none), the network name and the password, plus a flag for a hidden network. Semicolons, commas, colons, double quotes and backslashes are escaped so they do not break the string. Scanning it lets a phone join the network without typing the password.
Can I put my logo in the middle of the QR code?
Yes. The logo is drawn at 22% of the code's width on a white square, in the centre of both the PNG and the SVG. It is drawn into a square, so a square logo keeps its proportions. Because the logo covers real data, error correction goes up to High automatically; scan the code before printing.
What does a contact (vCard) QR code contain?
A vCard 3.0 record with the first and last name, company, job title, phone, email and website, leaving out any field you left blank. When scanned, a phone offers to save it as a contact. While the tool still holds its starting link, the Try an example button fills in a sample card so you can see the format first.
